We are now looking for a self-driven and practical property caretaker for Norrbyskär Museum for the 2026 season.

The position is a seasonal employment from May to the end of October, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position.

About the position

This is a broad and varied role where you will be responsible for the maintenance and development of our buildings and outdoor environments. The work ranges from ongoing property management to practical construction projects.

You will work independently but in close collaboration with the operations manager and other staff.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing property management and supervision
• Prepare and open buildings before/after the season
• Repairs and maintenance
• Minor new constructions and improvement projects
• Painting and carpentry work
• Brush clearing and maintenance of outdoor environments
• Responsibility for order, safety, and functionality in our properties
• Administration and maintenance planning

The work is practical and physical, taking place both indoors and outdoors.

We are looking for someone who

• Is self-driven and solution-oriented
• Has practical experience in property management, construction, or similar
• Is handy and comfortable with tools and machinery
• Has the ability to plan and structure your work
• Enjoys varied tasks
• Has a B driver's license

Experience in construction, carpentry, or property management is an advantage, but we place great emphasis on personal qualities and practical skills.
